17 posts · Joined 2006. #5 · Mar 20, 2006. YES, I feel the Phazer motor will last. Yamaha, hands down, knows their 4-stroke motors. When people say they don't feel it will last because of the high-reving motor, I don't believe it either. Just like someone else said, look at their sport bikes.
Jan 6, 2016 · The 07 seems to run a bit rougher with a bit more vibration, and is a bit tougher to start in the extreme cold. One last bit of insight on the yamaha's is that the hand warmers really are not that great until 2010 as you may have noticed on your Nytro. We ended up putting on Yamaheaters on our 2007.

This morning he tried to start it and all you get is a clicking sound on the battery side. If it is the fx model with the silver resevoir clicker shocks they can be rebuilt. If it's the base model phazer then the shocks are black in color and are not rebuildable.
