Reply Like., Jun 27, 2010 · C6 Corvette ZR1 & Z06 - "Service Charging System" message - Every once in a while, I could be idling or gunning it, this message comes up briefly and goes off. When at idle in traffic the voltage gauge holds at about 14 and then slowly drops to as low as 12, if I rev the engine a bit it goes back up. , C6 Corvette ZR1 & Z06 - Service charging system - I put a new alternator from Napa and a brand new Optima yellow top and now I'm getting service charging system vette won't start unless I jump it starter bolts are tight all that.
