1 Answer. Limp mode only fires every other cylinder when a fault is detected to save the motor ,,don't run it in limp mode or on the freeway. Many times on Chrysler products, one or both of the speed sensors screwed into the front of the transmission will fail, and cause the tcm to go to limp mode. Also make sure you have power to the tcm.
